For Generations to Come: The Campaign for Georgetown aspires to raise $1.5 billion for Georgetown’s main, medical, and law campuses to sustain and accelerate Georgetown’s pursuit of academic excellence in a rapidly changing world.

2. What is the portion of the campaign allocated for Georgetown Athletics?

Within the Generations campaign Georgetown Athletics has a goal of raising $125M in support of the student-athletes who wear the blue and gray.

3. What are Athletics’ priorities within the campaign?

The priorities within this campaign can be divided into three distinct categories: $65M for infrastructure improvements, $20M for endowed scholarships and $40M for programmatic and strategic initiatives (coaching endowments, programmatic endowments, current use funds, etc).

4. Which athletic programs will benefit from the campaign?

Our success with this campaign will improve the experience of all our student-athletes. The infrastructure improvements will touch all 750 student-athletes and how they study, train, compete and rehab as a part of their athletic experience.

5. How much have you raised to date?

As of May 30, 2016, we have raised $118,320,000 towards our goal of $125 million.

6. How does The Annual Fund for Athletics fit into the athletics portion of the campaign?

The Annual Fund for Georgetown Athletics is the lifeblood of the athletic department. Annual fund support helps to fund the athletic department’s operating budget. These dollars are used for travel, equipment, recruiting, scholarships, salaries and other operational costs incurred by each of our 29 Division I varsity programs. Every gift to the Annual Fund for Georgetown Athletics counts towards the $40M operational goal of the $125M goal for Athletics.
